"The first time I had a chance to use the 3rd grip was last weekend at Cape May, New Jersey, when I broke out all of my new surf fishing toys, er tools, to show off to my non-fishing friend - he likes my toys!! "When we first assembled the Daytripper Float tubes ... the 3rd Grip Pole Holsters worked perfectly. My cousin Tom figured out that one Pole Holster can actually hold 2 poles by placing one pole in the "regular" pole holder and the other rod in the slot right next to it. This set up worked so well that Tom came in fourth place in the (Irvine Lake) contest with a 4.5 lb trout. We were on the water for eight hours and never once had to worry about our rods falling in the lake, even when the 3rd Grip was holding a pole and a 4 pounder hit it with all its fury, the pole stayed put.
